Lovely house just a short walk from Emsworth. The accommodation was lovely for 5 of us celebrating my mums birthday. Highly recommend this house.
Our 3rd stay, all aspects of Elm Lodge and the location were excellent as always. We will use this venue for future breaks but next time we will take precautions against the possibility of insect bites in this lovely and picturesque location.
My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Studio Cottage for three weeks in between moving homes, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From the moment we arrived, Jennifer went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, nothing was too much trouble, with thoughtful touches that made it truly feel like home. The accommodation was spotless, beautifully furnished, and of a very high standard, with everything we needed for a longer stay. It really felt like a home away from home, which made the stressful transition period feel so much more relaxing. The location was great — peaceful wi...more
Hidden gem in charming town. Well equipped, clean and newly refurbished, with secure parking. There are stairs and some road noise at peak times but otherwise very comfortable. Shame about the reconstruction of the hotel across the road but can’t be helped and I’m sure it will change in coming months.
This is now our third stay here and it offers a peaceful break in a good location. There is all you need and it is very comfortable, will be back again next year.
The property is set in a quiet residential cul-de-sac in the attractive village of Bosham, which borders Chichester Harbour. The property has been recently renovated. There are 4 double bedrooms, with comfortable mattresses, and a spacious open plan kitchen/dining area, with large glass doors which open out on to a patio and a good-sized garden. There is a separate spacious sitting room, and a bathroom and a shower room. A good property for a relaxing family holiday, with a number of beaches within a 20/30 minute drive; the owners were very friendly and helpful.
We only had three nights at Mariners Terrace but it was a great joy to stay there. We know Bosham and the area so it was delightfully familiar to us. The cottage was comfortable, very prettily furnished, and just what we had hoped for. The location was ideal,
Wow, although having viewed the house online it was amazing once we were in. Spacious, clean and everything that we needed for our stay. Enough room for 6 adults to join together or take off somewhere within the house. This is our third rental proposition from Henry Adams and cannot fault them, very professional and friendly. Feel that we hit the jackpot with this house, location is superb and quiet - set in a private road. Garden was sunny from first thing in the morning, coffee and book to evening , cheeky little refreshment. We all loved this so much that booking is in place for sometim...more
We stayed at Cabane Mont Forte over the May Bank Holiday as we were visiting friends in the area. The house is located on a quiet estate; we initially pulled up to the wrong house number quoted in the directions from the agent but soon found the right place. The house was very welcoming, spacious and comfortable. Super clean with everything we needed. We did not use the hob or oven due to eating out. The beds were great and we all had a good night's sleep. The shower in the ensuite was quite noisy but this didn't detract from our stay; feedback about the family bathroom shower from on...more
It was a very beautiful Cottage next to a Natural area. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the few.days
Easy to find, easy to park, easy in and out :) We had a great time at the house. Very spacious, perfect for a family of 3. We will definitely stay again, next time we're in the area.
Highly recommend. Attractive and quiet property. Super comfy beds and an amazing view from the bedroom window. We found the cottage very well equipped The kitchen was a dream to work in . One of the best we have stayed in .
Rubens Barn is a little rural gem. All of the creature comforts, extremely generous food provisions and a wonderful owner who greeted us on arrival and departure. Accessible to Chichester, Midhurst and Petworth. Highly recommended.
Very comfortable, bright & nicely furnished first floor flat next to the station, with most amenities that a couple would need for a few days stay, e.g great fridge freezer, washing machine, oven, hob & microwave. Bed was very comfortable and plenty of cupboard space. Would stay again.
We absolutely love the White House at Borden. After staying last year, we had such an amazing time that everyone immediately wanted to plan the next stay. We loved the beautiful location, the pool table and the hot tub was well used! The contact and support from host was impeccable too.
EXCELLENT COTTAGE WITH EVERYTHING WE WANTED . HOSTS ROSIE AND SIMON VERY WELCOMING AND HELPFUL . A GREAT BASE FOR VISITING LOCAL ATTRACTIONS . WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS .
Excellent accommodation on a quiet street but only a short walk from the sea. The owner was very friendly and on hand if needed. We had meals out in two local restaurants again within in walking distance. There is a lot to see and do and in the short time we were here we visited Chichester Cathedral, West Wittering beach and the Weald and Downland Living Museum. The weather could have been kinder but we enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend Caedwalla House.
Beautifully situated overlooking the South Downs, Broomy Cottage is a well-furnished and equipped cottage for a family get-together, with lots of space for the little ones to explore and different lounge spaces to escape them. There is a high chair (not mentioned in the details) and a supply of small kids' toys. The annexe, which we didn't use, is a nice self-contained unit. It is in a good location for exploring the countryside and coast, and a five minute drive from Storrington which has a selection of shops and a Waitrose. Highly recommended.
I genuinely don’t know where to begin in attempting to do justice to our week here: truly one of the best staycations I’ve had. Starting with the lodge, the pictures great as they are, don’t do it justice. It’s so well decorated and cleverly designed. It has everything you could possibly need. The location is breathtaking, we are missing the tranquil and calming sound of the steam each morning. Two fussy teenagers were kept completely silenced by enjoying being here, the different design of their bedroom and en suite. Great to have the wildlife, with fish jumping each night to feed. The whole family + the Birthday girl had a most enjoyable long weekend at Priory Coach House. All that we could possibly have wanted was laid on for us and the weather just about played ball. We have all returned home exhausted but with so many happy memories
Stayed here for the week for Goodwood Festival of Speed. Great place to stay. Immaculate and everything provided for our stay. The living room did get quite warm but, then again we were here during a heatwave. Not a huge problem as we were out for most of the day. There was a fan in the bedroom though which was great. We'll definitely consider coming back here to stay.
The house was clean and spacious, comfortable and quiet, and very well equipped, and our host Lorna was very kind and accommodating. Being quite central, we also found that the location was great for touring around West Sussex. A very lovely week has been spent there.
Although our stay didn't get off to the best start as the cottage had not been cleaned since the previous renters. Henry Adams were quick to respond and send housekeepers to carry out the cleaning, change beds etc. It was a lovely location for the coast as well as country walks with our two dogs, the garden was fully enclosed and was a good size. Would definitely consider visiting again.
Good facilities for cooking. Owners on site to help with anything. Few miles from Petersfield. Ideal for couple for quiet holiday. Recommended. Had everything we needed including hairdryer, iron and board. Wooden table and chairs outside for sunny days.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is very comfortable, tastefully decorated and well equipped. The garden is a peaceful oasis, so close to town. Belinda is a great host.
Seashell Cottage is beautifully presented and meticulously clean with everything you can possibly need for a self catering holiday. A generous welcome pack was a lovely surprise. The cottage is in an ideal location close to bars, restaurants, shops and of course the beach and promenade. Free parking by way of a parking permit is an added bonus. Karen is the perfect host and works hard to make sure her guest’s stay is trouble free. Anyone contemplating staying at Seashell Cottage will not be disappointed. There is a large basket of sea shells on the dresser in the lounge with a note from Karen t...more
We stayed for a 40th birthday celebration with a group of friends. The house is beautiful and clean. Perfect hosting house with plenty of space and large bedrooms. We were lucky enough to have some sun so enjoyed the garden and games supplied. Location is good, not overlooked by any neighbours and walking distance to pub and shop
Very comfortable cottage with easy access to Chichester and Witterings. Great country side setting and lovely owners
This is the third year we have booked this accommodation. Our team enjoy staying at The Parlour Emsworth due to its cleanliness and self catering ability unlike staying at a Hotel. It is ideally placed for their local commute and we would happily recommend staying here.
A lovely house near Priory Park, so walkable to everywhere you want to do go to in Chichester. Furnished to a very high level, with some nice flowers in the garden (and a lovely area to sit and eat your breakfast in the morning sun). Good shower and 2 toilets. And lots of other little touches like umbrellas and some welcoming goodies, which show that the owners care about you having an enjoyable stay.
The Stables, Wickham is a delightful holiday property in a peaceful location overlooking a grassy paddock where deer, foxes, etc can be observed. Well designed and beautifully appointed, it is fitted out in a simple understated style which complements the building. The provision of under floor heating and a wood burner would make it attractive at any time of the year. We couldn't fault it, M & R
Castleton is an annexe to a pretty cottage in north Chichester. The accommodation is very good, it has served us well for both our visits. The location is excellent for the city and for walks to Lavant and around.
Having stayed at Stable Cottage on previous occasions, it was great to find everything was up to the previous high standard. This comfortable and well appointed venue is excellent for a variety activities, from coastal or countryside walking to easy drives for visits to popular stately homes, gardens, museums, and much, much more. There is surely something for everyone, even just a peaceful, relaxing escape with several pubs and restaurants within easy reach. I'll have no hesitation in returning.
We had a very pleasant stay at Pears Grove. A large house with ample space for four women on a three night stay. The house was well presented and in a good position for trips to Emsworth and Chichester. Our only criticism is that there were no basic cooking essentials available, such as oil, only hand soap in one of the bathrooms and only two dishwasher tablets available for our use.
A superb holiday home. Beautifully clean and stocked with replenishables. Airy, homely and comfortable for 2 adults. Great location for accessing the south coast beaches and harbours as well as Chichester and the South Downs. The owners have done themselves proud with how they furnish and present the property. Only minor downside is traffic noise as the property is right on the A259.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Vane Cottage which we booked primarily for our visit to the Love Supreme festival at Glynde Place. We were impressed with how well equipped the kitchen was with lots of utensils, pots, pans etc. The garden is lovely and would be a great space for children to play. The only negative is the lack of a shower. We wondered if we should worry about there being no picture of the bathroom and so it proved. The description of "bathroom with shower attachment over the bath" turned out to be a bath/shower mixer tap on the bath but with no shower screen or curtain. ...more
Have stayed in both of the Vellum Court apartments, #2 this time, and once again an excellent stay. Well appointed, warm and comfortable with plenty of kitchen cutlery and crockery - all that you could ask for. We will be looking to stay again
Great location for visiting Arundel Gallery Trail. Could not get TVs in bedroom or kitchen to work A slight squeeze for 5 adults in kitchen diner area.
We had a wonderful stay at Steddles. We were five adults and a 1-year-old, and felt there was plenty of space for all. However, we didn't feel at all safe with the glass bottles in the kitchen and bathrooms. Also some of the kitchen ware (such as the frying pans) would need to be renewed. We were hoping to have a bbq one night, but it was so messy we gave up the idea. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay. The location of the place couldn't be any better, being so close to town centre, yet on a very peaceful street.
Practical and pleasant cottage. We all enjoyed our stay. It was warm! Important for out of season stays. One snag was that we didn't find the heating instructions at first as in unusual position on wall behind kitchen door. Further from the beach than expected. It's actually 25mins of rather dull walk or you have to drive and pay £7. But there are pleasant short walks on footpaths very close and one of them does give access to the beach - slightly further than going down the road but a better bit of beach for swimming.
I booked this cottage for the 2nd time for my parents who are in their 70’s and they loved every minute of their 10 night stay. The location is great - close to lovely walks and with shops a 15min walk away. The sea front is walkable in 30 mins or so. The cottage is spotlessly clean and has everything you’d need for even a long stay. The hosts left some food and milk in the fridge which was a lovely touch. I would definitely book this again
I am local and booked the house for friends who came for a.reunion weekend. Great house with really good facilities. Lovely big bedrooms and really great open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area. We loved it. My only suggestion would be a bigger dining table as the house is for 8 people and the table is a squeeze. Thank you.
Grace Cottage is located in a wonderful setting fronting on to the Mill Pond Emsworth and was a perfect size for our multigenerational family of five. It is a very well modernised property with spacious, light and airy rooms throughout. As mentioned in other reviews there is a need for more hanging space as the only actual wardrobe is in the smallest double bedroom although the other two bedrooms do have plenty of drawer space. Generally well equipped otherwise our only suggestions would be for some smaller glasses and a refresh of the mugs, the freebies are OK but...... The outside space wa...more
Such a lovely place to stay, clean and everything we needed for our short stay. So close to the sea plus walking distance to the town. Debbie was very welcoming. We will be back!
The property was fine, but a bit further out from the centre than I expected, so had to take taxis each evening to go out to dine. The small shower room and separate toilet were compact and less than we had requested. Otherwise the property was very comfortable and well maintained. It was more suitable for a young family than 2 adults
This has become our go to property for a base in Sussex to catch up with friends and family. Idyllic setting, beautifully designed accommodation with quality fittings and such lovely owners and staff at Henry Adam’s. Thank you for another great stay.
Access was easy. Off road parking is available and very welcome. The property is spacious, light and airy. Well appointed kitchen. Plenty of hot water. Surprisingly quiet at night, yet close to sea front. All in all, we had a very pleasant stay.
Great location, very cozy place and it has everything you need. Definitely would recommend to anyone and the owners are so lovely and welcoming, really felt at home here.
This was our third stay at the house. It’s so comfortable and the host is always extremely helpful and welcoming. The location is also ideal for the beach and local attractions. Would highly recommend it.
very well equipped house in a lovely location - very spacious with great views and easy parking - we will be back
Whilst the cottage was lovely, there are a couple of things I would like to point out. One of the beds had a spider's nest under the bedspread which hatched fortunately before my son and daughter in law went to bed, with numerous baby spiders crawling all over it. We contacted the owner for a hoover (which they had borrowed from the cottage) to clean them up, but on reflection feel that it should have been offered to remake the bed with clean bedding. The kitchen cupboards inside could have done with a clean, I actually spent the first evening giving them a wipe out (perhaps I am too ...more
We had a great time visiting Chichester. 2 St Faiths was ideal for our group, and the location was second to none. Thanks to everyone. We'd love to return.
I have stayed in various deckhouses in Emsworth and particularly like this one due to its location. The accommodation is very comfortable and inviting with all that you would need to make your stay enjoyable. Emsworth Village is within walking distance from the deckhouse with various places to eat in the evening and during the day. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.
The Cloisters is an amazing cottage, a hidden gem. It is so close to all amenities, a short drive to see lots of stuff but you also don’t need to use your car as there is plenty to see and do. The courage is well equipped, very comfortable. We have been twice now, it is one of my very favourite places try stay and I love the fact that it’s within the cathedral grounds.
We had a lovely break at the Beach House. Flat walking to beach and other walks along coastal path. Shops also within very short walk so handy to get basics etc also plenty places to eat out within walking distance.Easy parking on drive and brilliant secure garden for our dog.House located in a very quiet area and wouldn’t hesitate in staying there again.
We have stayed at Little Barn 3 times now because it is in such a lovely location and the owners are helpful and relaxed. We would highly recommend it.
Beautiful countryside with excellent opportunities for longer and shorter hikes. Not too far from the beach (40 km). Pub with good food within 10 min drive, shops further away. Car necessary.
A cosy but far from small cottage in a lovely village location. Great pubs and the food from the Indian was lovely. Great location the Witterings and Bosham on the door step and great walks into Emsworth to watch the boats go by, would highly recommend.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and found it well equipped and in a good location. The twin bedroom is ok for adults, but is really more suitable for children. Our main concern is that there are no visitors allowed for any amount of time. This is not mentioned in the description/information when you book and you are only informed about it when you receive details after paying the balance. This did not affect us as we didn't want to invite others for lunch etc during this visit. However on previous breaks we have seen friends who lived nearby. Roads leading to the estate are in a shoc...more
The perfect place to walk out from. Comfortable and nice to relax at. Does not need all the fake flowers but otherwise just the place to enjoy Chichester harbour from.
A brilliant little place right in the heart of Chichester yet secluded and quiet. Ideal for exploring local area. It had all we needed and more!
A great little base for exploring, lgreat hosts, such a lovely couple. The accommodation was comfortable, clean everything you need. A lovely wood burner gives the Dairy a warm and cosy atmosphere, especially when everything was frosty outside. A very relaxing stay, thank you.
Such an ideal location, Sea Esta had everything we needed for our stay. Selsey is a perfect place to unwind and you can feel how the pace slows as soon as you turn off the A27. The beach, which is literally a stones throw away, is clean and very quiet, apart from a few local fishermen occasionally setting out to sea. With the pub just behind, we didn’t need to go anywhere else although there are plenty of places to visit nearby. Sitting on our balcony with a glass of wine in the evening was just bliss and what a view there is.
A beautiful, clean cottage that was amazingly equipped with everything we could need. A great space for a family of four with lots of luxurious touches. We used it as a base to explore the south coast area of Sussex. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our stay it was very relaxing and in peaceful surrounds. We would recommend it to our friends.
A perfect location. Spacious accommodation. Unusual for a holiday let to have no information pack or any manuals for using appliances. A small niggle: the kettle either needs descaling or replacing. Water just dribbles out!
Second time staying here. Excellent location, great facilities, perfect for a family holiday. The dog loved it too!
Very comfortable accommodation, well appointed. In an excellent location, with lots to so within the local area. Jo and Al were very welcoming and hospitable owners. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.
Great location, can not fault anything will return. Only thing i would have liked was a later check out, but understand reason for vacating the premises at 10.00am.
The accommodation was in a great location for us to travel to work and the house keeping done weekly was good clean beds towels provided weekly. would highly recommend for short and long time lets
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Innisfree. The house is large, light and airy so absolutely perfect for a few people. In our case, the football was on in one room and game playing and cooking going on in another. It’s very well situated and super close to the beach - except we were unlucky in that seaweed had washed up and covered the sandy area. Everything you could possibly need has been considered and provided. And the garden is a decent size, very secure and perfect for dogs. The management is super-efficient too. The lock to the outdoor storage wasn’t working and they managed to p...more
Excellent holiday. We love the position within walking distance to beach shops and lovely walks. Very highly recommended.
Wow! what a beautiful house, Old Lock Cottage is, so comfortable and well equipped. Everything you could want is provided, so clean and well equipped. it was a pleasure to return to the house each day after our excursions. Lovely secluded patio and garden to relax in and just a short walk to the marina and refreshments at The Boathouse. Wonderful holiday in a beautiful home.
A very comfortable flat with everything needed for a happy holiday in a great location with fabulous views of the sea
Lovely house in a good location. Large bedrooms and good size living room and kitchen. Nice size garden for our dogs. We really enjoyed our stay.
Enjoyed our stay, very conveniently close to Chichester, but easy to get to other areas. Cottage was very nicely decorated, with new carpets, and lovely curtains. Everything was there that you needed. Pretty little garden.
Another lovely stay, with a lovely down to earth couple who couldn't do enough for you. It is ideally placed for the Witterings, and Itchenor walks. Massive Orchard which our dog Faye, and the owner’s dog Becky, absolutely loved and became really good friends. We miss Becky coming up to see us , and Faye going around to see Becky’s owners . All in all a reasonably priced holiday in beautiful surroundings.
What a brilliant cozy cottage in a great location, we all had a fantastic time and the woofers had plenty of great walks close by. I would highly recommend and I’m sure we will back again in the future.
Excellent location virtually on the seafront and in a very quiet street. Sitting room small for 6 adults, bedrooms and shower rooms good, shops and good restaurants in easy reach.
The cottage was very spacious for two and was generally in very good condition and comfortable. It was described in the details as "recently converted" which might mislead some people as there were some indications that it had been done a while. Our host was very helpful but not intrusive. The property was very convenient for many attractions in the area but is also in some beautiful countryside ideal for walking and exploring. We would certainly use it again if we were to revisit the area in the future.
We loved staying at Spindrift during our visit from New Zealand to family in West Sussex. Would recommend.
We felt at home as soon as we entered the place, clean, light and tidy. Soon found all the facilities and settled in for our too short a stay. Loved being able to watch the birds ferreting amongst the plant life on the beach, for whatever, with the sea as a backdrop. Perfectly positioned premises for a relaxing break with a constantly changing view of the sea. Great to have off street parking too.
Wisteria Way was a wonderful place to stay. The accommodation itself is perfect for a couple and was very clean. The bed was very comfortable, it had a lovely separate lounge/dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen as well that included a full sized fridge and washing machine/dryer. There was plenty of storage, and a nice outdoor seating area. It was in excellent condition and quite stylish. I stayed there for nearly 3 weeks and it always felt like a nice place to come back to. There is a lot to see locally, with a number of amazing attractions close by. I was also able to do a regular loc...more
We had a very enjoyable short break at Compass Cottage. The standout in the property was the quality of the beds - we slept extremely well in the very comfy mattresses! The cottage also benefits from excellent double glazing which almost removes the traffic noise from Main Road. Overall the property was comfy and cosy and we enjoyed staying in as much as we did going out and exploring the surrounding area. Would highly recommend.
Stunning views from the two balconies and on first impressions everything looked perfect. However we found the 2 sofas not very comfortable and although there were 2 bathrooms the sinks were too small to use properly without lots of splashes.Although the apartment was generally very clean the freezer needed defrosting and the oven was dirty. We had to collect the key from Henry Adams offices car park which we found inconvenient as we had arrived by train and had luggage . They did agree to us leaving the keys at the end of the stay on the dining room table which helped.
Great location for visiting Midhurst. However, it was just as well we knew where we were going as the instruction we were given said " Pizza Express" when it should be "Tesco Express". Nice new kitchen Lots of utensils But utensils etc need some review: We found a dirty / scratched pan. Some chipped/ unclean plates Some unclean cutlery in the drawer Knife in draw - missing its tip. Kettle needs a proper clean (we did give it a good rinse). Fire extinguisher needs to be located in a better place. It was located out of reach on the cooker hood!! Maybe attached to the wall to t...more
You wake up to an amazing view of the sea and there is a great range of restaurants (from the basic to the classy) just round the corner. The apartment itself is in OK condition and fine for a long weekend. During our 8 day stay, the washing machine broke and could not be fixed before the end of our stay so the Letting Agents helpfully offered us the apartment upstairs (which was empty at that point). Which is bigger and better. So - a win!
Wonderful house, we loved it so much we have booked again for August! So comfortable and cosy, loads of blankets for when it gets chilly outside but you just don't want to come in yet. Kitchen was well equipped and modern. Bathrooms were luxurious. Plenty of room for 10 people. Couldn't recommend seasidings highly enough.
A comfortable cottage perhaps not recommended to dog owners as lacking an enclosed garden area. Was surprised that some expected items were not supplied as would normally expect these. ie hairdryer, umbrella.
This property was ideal for our family - ground floor bedrooms and upstairs bedrooms - plus a self contained annex Pool was a big bonus and the secure back garden was ideal for our dog Whilst some of the furniture was well used it added to the charm. Kitchen and whole house kitted out generously and was lacking nothing really. At end of a small side road and really peaceful. We would definitely stay again.
A lovely cottage close to the seafront. Exceptional quality and one I always stay at when I travel to Bognor. Thanks. Absolutely perfect.
I really enjoyed staying in this property, I had an extended stay with my three boys, it’s local to their school and they had a friend who was living next door. The property was very comfortable and clean throughout and suited our needs. The owner was contactable and helped us out when needed. I would recommend this property to my friends
We were a mixed group ranging in age from 90 to 4, with a lively dog. The old house and its stunning gardens were everything we had hoped for. The kids loved the pool although it was a bit chilly, and the gardens were the pefect setting for games and just sitting and admiring the roses. The younger adults loved the privacy of the dovecote although the ladder to the bed platform was tricky in the night. The house was just the right side of homely, a bit shabby in places but with plenty of room for all and some lovely old furniture. The kitchen was very well equipped with loads of crockery and g...more
We had an excellent stay at Still Waters. The location is beautiful with sea views and walks from the doorstep. The layout of the property is ideal for a group of friends with a big living room and dining table, the kitchen is also more than enough for everyone to be stood in (we had 8 people for one of the nights). The garden is stunning so we spend most of the time around the garden table. Some of the furniture is a bit dated such as the bedding and sofas, but this didn't bother us at all being a group of friends. It had most things we needed but didn't provide too many extras, we could have...more
Great house very comfortable. Everything you need. Would stay again. Quiet neighbourhood. No issues at all.
Frankland House is situated right in the heart of Emsworth village. Walking distance to shops, pubs, restaurants and the waterside. It has 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms upstairs and a lounge, dining, kitchen & wc downstairs, with a small outdoor terrace and a free parking space. Reasonably appointed, and easy to live in... I loved my long-term residence there. Some parts are a bit tired - the dg windows have serious condensation issues, and the kitchen lacks a microwave. However, as a short-term holiday home, it's great value. John is local, and very friendly and responsive to issues. Thoroughly...more
Nice cottage to use as base for your exploring with friendly neighbours. Local supermarket is well stocked. We used local pubs, takeaways and café and all severed good food.
Arriving at our chosen location in Selsey we were confronted with a traveller's encampment across the road to the property, on contacting Charlotte at Henry Adams Holidays on their emergency mobile number, she sprang into action to find us alternative accommodation, we selected Kalami at Bracklesham Bay, was a great choice - thanks Charlotte. As there were only two of us with our two dogs, we rattled around in there, the most comfortable double bed we have ever had on holiday, the property and its contents are good quality. Only two minutes' walk to the beach, which at low tide our dogs lov...more
We stayed here as we were delayed moving into a property on the Island. Location great and felt quite private to the owners house. Clean, comfortable and a very pleasant stay.
Was a great spot within easy distance of Midhurst. Only complaint is the difficulty in turning right on Petersfield Rd but turned left and went down June Lane. The cost of the place was high but the value was there.
Very clean lines to this property but very sparse on furniture. Very hot inside when it's sunny due to windows in roof which I believe don't open?, and due to its location the property sits in sun most of day so the inside is only cool in morning and evening. The shower also is either hot or cold, and you can't seem to regulate the temperature as the water pressure then drops if you add too much hot or cold. The bed/sofa in the lounge area is also hard and uncomfortable, I spent most of my time sitting on the chairs on the balcony.
Overall, our stay exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch experience!
Had a lovely sunny week with family staying at Fisherman’s Cottage with six adults, a toddler and a baby. The beautiful property is very spacious with a huge garden and is right by the sea. Beds were very comfortable. Ground floor bedroom very convenient for people with mobility issues. Could do with a high comfortable armchair in living room as all the seating was low and soft. Would have preferred dining chairs instead of benches in dining area. Garden chairs and table provided although a parasol could be useful to provide some shade. Look forward to hopefully returning soon.
Highly recommended ...a stone's throw from a safe swimming beach .Walking distance of Pagham harbour in one direction and Bognor in the other. House is always immacutely clean and garden great for eating outdoors.
We had a lovely 3 day break at Costal. The house and location is perfect for a family get together, house is child friendly with an enclosed sunny garden, and just a 2 minute walk to the beach. There’s games and toys for the children and even boogie boards to take to the beach. If you need any help they respond with quickly.
This is our second visit to our Happy Place of Emsworth Marina. It is a haven for peace and quiet with all the nature from the sea and surrounding countryside. The Deckhouse is well equipped and we love the update. The decor is modern with a nod to the 60’s origin very stylish. There is everything you need for a relaxing stay. Sitting on the balcony, one can just take a moment away and just enjoy the views of the harbour and the surroundings, the egrets, herons, and coots. We especially enjoy seeing the baby coots each time. There is everything you need whether cooking together or eating out, ...more
Lovely hosts who gave us a wonderful welcome . Comfortable cottage handy for Goodwoood and lots of great restaurants .
Very quant little cottage ideally positioned for Chichester town centre Would highly recommend for a holiday stay
We h ad a lovely stay in Dolphin house. It was very well situated, convenient for the restaurants, shops and quay side; we had lovely walks straight from the apartment. The parking was tricky; we were there in the week when there was none nearby in the road, but found some nearby. We also found the bed a bit uncomfortable. Overall though, it was good value and we would stay there again, as we loved Emsworth.
The Cottage was homely and comfortable within a reasonable walk into the center. Very close to a very busy road but not too annoying as we were out most days from mid morning until late evening. All mod-cons in kitchen. Only drawback was the shower over the bath and no non-slip mat.
Really nice house with great facilities. Perfect family base for our family wedding at Goodwood and great value for money. Easy to walk into Chichester and access all it has to offer. Unlikely to be back in the area but would not hesitate to book again. Helpful feedback ( hopefully) The kitchen is the heart of this house and opening onto a good garden space is a bonus. It’s a great space but the garden and patio would benefit from a bit more love and attention. Master bedroom and en-suite is stunning. Second bedroom not so much and feels like a spare room. Again just spread the love tha...more
Good location, good agent, been there a couple of times already. Dining room table and chairs need upgrading to 8 comfortable chairs and place round the table for 8. Most window handles are broken so do not open for fresh air. The shower in the ground floor bedroom needs replacing (not working, boiling or cold). Beds would be if upgraded to nice firm beds not bouncy one’s… Otherwise all ok!
The Stables was a perfect home from home for my family. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen had plenty of utensils, we cooked a full roast dinner whilst there. The garden was a real sun trap with very comfy garden furniture. Area was very peaceful and beautiful. Easy walk to the local The Red Lion.
Lovely last minute break although a little disappointed no milk was provided as after a long journey it would have been nice to at least not have to go out straight away to get essentials. Stair carpet could do with replacing as a little worn and a hairdryer would have been useful (not something I pack when going away). Location ideal as you don’t need the car if exploring the area. A couple of comfortable garden chairs would have been nice aswell. Otherwise a really pleasant stay.
We spent a lovely week here - 5 of us in 4 rooms, along with 2 dogs. The house is quite hi-tech with automatic night lights and fancy dimmers and is equipped with everything you could wish for. The beds were very comfortable as was the living room furniture and the massive telly is amazing. We were also fortunate to have some warm weather and enjoyed sitting out in the pretty garden with the koi. We chose the house due to it’s accessibility as my elderly mother was with us, and the downstairs bedroom, stairlift and walk-in shower were a real boon. My Mum found the downstairs room to be a li...more
We’re a family of 4 and a dog, & we all had a great time. The house was clean, practical, & the open plan kitchen/family room was amazing. We all enjoyed the hot tub on a few occasions, & a great sized back garden that our dog loved. The house is a 15 minute walk to WW beach, the perfect location to explore the local area. We’ll definitely be back:-)
The space was clean enough, convenient and private. There was lots of space for our family of 5. Overall the property was good it just needs some tlc. The kitchen floor boards look like some water damage has occurred in the past, the toilet seat is cracked and taped back together. These things didn’t cause us issues, the unit just needs a bit of maintenance and a good deep clean. Access to the unit upon arrival was easy. Would definitely stay again if we went back.
An ideal location being incredibly convenient for work plus superb comfort etc. and we would like to return later this year. The location of this property is ideal for exploring Emsworth by foot and the wider area by car, bus or train. Very quiet location - thanks for a great stay. The only reasons that we did not provide excellent on everything was due to the broken oven seal and lack of a microwave. Henry Adams customer service was superb with them quickly fixing the poor rubbish use of the designated bins by the previous occupiers.
We stayed for a few days with our two children (7 and 9) to visit family in the area. The location of the flat is ideal for the high street, short walk to the local train station (15 mins). The terrace and bedrooms are lovely. The building is quite old but has a certain charm. We didn't need to contact the owner but were supplied a number with the booking in case of emergencies. The flat had all the amenities including milk and coffee, which was appreciated. Fresh flowers, croissants and chocolates were also in the flat, which gave it a nice homely atmosphere. There is the King's Head pub op...more
Our stay was comfortable and the cottage was clean and conveniently located but sheets and towels needed to be changed once in a week for longer stays. Help with door lock was appreciated.
This tidy apartment has a well-organized kitchen. Perfect for a peaceful stay, offering both comfort and functionality in a serene environment.
At Beacon Square we had a pleasant stay, with comfortable sofas and beds. Kitchen is well equipped, with washing machine and tumbler. Beds really comfay. Situated in a quiet area, but everything within short walking distance.
The house had everything we needed, from cleaning products to bed linen, coffee, tea, ... The location is perfect, a quiet street with the beach, supermarkets, shopping street, ... just around the corner. There was no street noice and the garden was nice and calm. the only unfortunate thing was that the dishwasher was not working. The customer service replied immediately they could send someone to fix this, but we didn't here from this again before the end of our 6 night stay. Also, the temperature of the shower was hard to manage, being very hot mostly.
We enjoyed staying in York House for our 3 generation family celebration! The house is in a quiet residential area , set back from the main road within beautiful sunny gardens. The house was well equipped (though could do with sharper knives and pizza trays!), fairly clean with plenty of bedroom storage and comfortable beds. We had gorgeous weather and made the most of the garden seating etc. The external games room was a bonus and would have been used more if the weather hadn't been as good! York House is handy for local shops and the beach. We found Aldwick Bay beautiful with amazing house...more
I love this cottage and you pay to stay in a beautiful old cosy cottage which is steeped in history. The garden is delightful and you are very close to Middleton -on- sea village, with two or three pubs within walking distance and the beach 10 min walk away. . It is not for everybody. I have stayed before so knew what to expect. The cottage is small inside but cool on hot summer days. Access would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues and there is no room to eat at table inside. However there is a picnic bench in the garden and another little table and chairs so you can eat outside whe...more
The barn is in a lovely setting, easy to find, with lots of local attractions for families and in walking distance to shops / pubs. The house is beautiful, with 2 separate gardens. The building itself is huge and lovely interiors. A lovely sociable kitchen with an aga so it can get a bit toasty inside. Very well stocked kitchen with pots / pans / utensils. Unfortunately there were noisy building works right outside when we were staying which we weren’t warned about beforehand which disrupted nap time for our little ones & made it rather stressful / put a dampener on our holiday for 2 of the...more
Lovely accommodation. Reasonably well equipped for a few days although no hairdryer. No microwave. Comfy beds. Lovely bathrooms. Good parking provision. Excellent location in the town.
A lovely house, convenient and creatively decorated. Nice personal touches and lovely outdoor space. I was disappointed by the cleanliness, there was toothpaste in the bathroom sink, the shower could do with a more thorough clean and there was a vase of dead flowers in the dining room. The kitchen sink and surfaces could have done with a better clean too. Ash tray in garden full. Beds and bedding spotless A good place to stay, but could do with a better clean Thankyou
Dolphin Cottage is in a very quiet and pretty lane, quite close to the beach, and some shops and pubs. The cottage is beautifully decorated, very clean, well equipped kitchen and the two wood burning stoves are lovely to have in the winter months. We brought our bikes and enjoyed cycling around the island. The nature reserves are particularly interesting and beautiful. When we arrived at Dolphin Cottage it was very cold. It would have been nice if the heating had been set to come on before we arrived. We turned up the thermostat, but the radiators only reached lukewarm. Eventually we ...more
The flat is quite nice but in desperate need of TLC. There are cracks in the kitchen walls, some walls have scuff marks and need to be wiped and/or painted. The main bedroom window frame looks quite bad in places with the glass and frame dirty, including the double glazing. The kitchen chair cushions are heavily stained, and the cutlery, because they are part wood, should be replaced. In the living room. the wooden chair is broken and probably unsafe to use, and the carpet is moth eaten in some areas. The bedrooms need proper curtains, and the wooden blinds in the living room and kitchen shoul...more
Lovely flat, well equipped, furnished, comfortable & lovely view from lounge window. Just one complaint, don’t know when it was last dusted & cleaned it was definitely not for our arrival. Thick dust on skirting boards, back of doors, around the edge of floors & most surfaces. This was very disappointing you expect it to be clean for new guests. Would have given a 5 for value for money if it had been clean.
A beautiful, very stylish property in a wonderful location if you're looking for an out-of-town break. Tastefully furnished and good av equipment. Lovely French doors but locked with no key. A little lacking in kitchen equipment and one of the bedrooms has inadequate curtains, unless you don't mind being woken up at dawn sunlight.
Pros: Beautiful gardens, nice outside furniture, useful if weather is good. Great parking area. Bedrooms modest size, but each has quirky individually furnished style with repurposed period furniture. Bedding used is quality 100% linen with comfortable pillows and matches decor. Scatter cushion overload though. 3 out of 4 beds comfortable, but seem smaller than traditional King size. Kitchen appliances spotlessly clean, as was whole rental. Bathrooms excellent with limitless hot water for filling very large baths. Unique property in unique location. Excellent for a couple of nights stay espec...more
Pros - great location, near pub and nice coffee shop. Short walk to beach. Cons - not very clean on arrival, mould problem in bathroom, strong damp smell throughout property. Had planned to cook but found mould growing on wooden spoons and cobwebs on the pans - so ate out instead! Having read through the comments in the visitor book we could see these issues had been raised several times, so it’s disappointing they haven’t been addressed. Would not stay again.
Candy Corner was a lovely place to stay, very quiet with lovely garden area. Kitchen well equiped and clear instructions for all aspects of stay.
Party size 4 Adults and 2 children (3 &6). Bedrooms - none of the rooms had any hanging space, only chest of drawers. There was one large double bedroom, children’s room with three beds and one other bedroom which was so small could only accommodate one adult and that was tight. There is only one shower bathroom. Separate toilet up stairs. Cloakroom downstairs. Unfortunately when using the washing machine the filter was blocked making the machine unable to expel the water. Removing the filter flooded the utility room. The dryer - this also had the problem that the filter hadn’t been empti...more
We booked The Little House as a last minute break. The property is in a lovely location with a great outside pool, but the house itself would benefit from some TLC. There was no appliance or pool information readily available and some of the appliances were either damaged or not working fully. The cooker and BBQ had not been cleaned and the upstairs windows and glass kitchen roof were very dirty. For our first few days we had vintage and military aircraft flying over on a regular basis which was great to watch. Unfortunately our use of the garden was reduced for the last 3 days of our ...more
We had a lovely week at Primrose cottage - certainly the first time that I'd slept in a bedroom with a spiral staircase in one corner! Yes, the house is a bit tired in areas but no more than I'd expect with a holiday rental. Primrose Cottage is well located, with comfy beds, a well equipped kitchen and lovely garden. An issue with the toilet was dealt with immediately by the agent. Would recommend.
Wunderschön, gepflegt, wenige Schritte zum Meer, sehr sauber, hervorragend ausgestattete Küche (ohne Spülmaschine, aber das weiß man vorher), unkompliziert --> sehr zu empfehlen!
Great location for our family of 11. Everyone enjoyed the space the house provided. The bedrooms with balconies were a special treat. Plenty of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. And a dining area which seated us all. The towels provided were lovely and soft and the showers always hot and powerful. There was plenty of parking for our 4 cars and room left for more. We all loved walks along the beach and some of us were brave enough to venture into the sea. There were several dead light bulbs which made some areas rather gloomy and we couldn’t find instructions on how to operate the fire o...more
The Shed could have been very nice, but cleanliness left a bit to be desired, no instructions for the property, the rubbish bins were full, the cupboards and wardrobe contained other people’s property. However in a nice quiet position, very relaxing, once we’d worked out how anything worked. Tried to report bins to Henry Adam’s, but no one answered the phone.
No WiFi connection, no first aid kit, alarms going off constantly. No freezer. No iron. Terrible stench in conservatory area. No answers to complaints made. Should’ve been refunded full cost of holiday due to health & safety and fire safety. The owner has nothing to do with the property gets an elderly man to deal with any issues. Bins were locked so could not be emptied until the bloke came out about the alarms and said he had a key to unlock them! Worst holiday ever!
This property is fantastic and good value for money. It is a very grand proerty with good space for 10 and ample parking. Instructions to get to the house were very good. The location was excellent in easy reach of lots of interesting things to see and do. We had an initial problem with the cooker not lighting but this was resolve quickly by a visit from the gas engineer. The kitchen was a little tired for example the dishwaser rocks back and forth. Water pressure in master bedroom was rubbish. The property was let down by a few other things that could easily be sorted. Firstly there wa...more
The building is new and the location was excellent for the town and our communication before we arrived was good. The decor was nice and cosy. However the cleanliness was very disappointing and dust was everywhere. Bedside tables were dirty, bathroom surfaces were heavily caked in dust, kitchen surfaces and the dining table were not cleaned - plates in the cupboard had to be re washed, as did cutlery. Finally we had to clean the shower head to get it to work efficiently. So for the price it was very disappointing and it appeared that the property had not been inspected or quality checked befor...more
